Mozzarella canapés

 

Mozzarella canapés

Serves 4 people (8 canapés)
Prep: less then 30 minutes

 

 

  • 375g ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 beaten egg for glaze
  • 250g Galbani Santa Lucia Mozzarella Maxi, sliced
  • Basil pesto
  • Thyme
  • Basil
  • Olives
  • Sun blush tomatoes
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200C.
  2. Using a 9cm cutter cut the pastry into 8 rounds.
  3. Place on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and well risen.
  5. Remove the domed top of pastry and cover each round with a slice of mozzarella.
  6. Put back in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese has started to melt. 
  7. Top with pesto, herbs, olives, sun blush tomatoes and pesto oil.
