Fried bread with Dolcelatte® and tomato
Serves 4
Prep: from 30 – 60 minutes
- 150g Galbani Dolcelatte
- 4 - 6 small tomatoes
- 1/2 - 1 ltr. oil
Dough
- 500 g flour
- 3 dl water or milk
- 25 g yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- Put the yeast into the lukewarm water. Add salt and knead the flour into the dough. Let it rise for approx. ½ hour.
- Roll out the dough into 4-6 pieces (same size). Put a piece of Dolcelatte and half a tomato in the middle of each piece. Fold the dough around the filling. It is important to close properly, otherwise the filling will fall out during cooking.
- Pour the oil into a casserole dish and warm it up. When the oil is hot, put the breads into the oil and fry – approx. 4-6 min. until golden.
- The breads can eventually be served with a rich salad. They are best when served warm.
