Cheese BurgerExtra Cheesey Cheeseburgers

The number one family favourite! Hamburgers filled with oozing cheese.

Serves 6
Takes: 25 mins

50g white bread, roughly chopped
½ onion, roughly chopped
½ tsp grated nutmeg
2 garlic clove, crushed
1tbsp tomato puree
1 large egg yolk
500g beef lean steak mince
50g Seriously Strong Cheddar cheese, cut into 6 cubes

  1. Put the bread in a food processor and whiz up until breadcrumbs. Add the onion and continue to whiz until finely chopped. Finally add the nutmeg, garlic, tomato puree, egg yolk and mince and whiz again until combined (this may take a while to get going).
  2. Using wet hands divide mixture into 6 equal pieces. Roughly shape each piece into a ball and flatten slightly. Put a cube of cheese in the centre of each one and mould the mixture around the cheese to form a burger.
  3. Heat a griddle pan until hot and cook burgers for 15 mins turning, until cooked. Serve in burger buns with more cheese if you like and salad.
